I have been a patient of Younger Me MD for the last 17 years. Although that was not the name so many years ago, Dr Varano handled all the patients and to this day is learning and caring for his patients in the same way. I will tell you on my first visit I was scared beyond belief. I could not even to begin to imagine that a small pill implanted into my buttocks could make such a difference. Besides that what if it didn’t…….what if things got worse, can I have it removed???? All questions I struggled with and cried about during my initial consultation. All I knew was in my current state of mind I was not the same person and while I loved my husband I didn’t like him at all!! Menopause…..a welcome relief of periods and tampons but a whole new world of heat flashes, anger….for no reason, crying…..for no reason, weight gain……for no reason and a feeling of wanting to be young again with none of this god forsaken stuff that had taken over my body, my mind and my life. I made the decision to start my journey of hormone replacement therapy. Scared but willing to take the chance!! I have been an advocate for many a menopausal woman for years now. I first discovered BodyLogic MD when I was very frustrated with my Hypothyroid symptoms which had been bad and getting worse for over 20 years. I ignored them as best I could. Finally, they were so severe I was desperate. I believed the health system was failing me. I am an RN and my specialty for many years was disease management and yet I was not managing my own health. I also have been a pharmaceutical Representative. As a firm believer that we all need to be our own health advocates, I researched treatment options. I decided to reach out to a BodyLogic MD. My understanding was these physicians are highly trained hormone replacement physicians. I reached out to Dr Varano and within 24 hours of his prescribed RX plan I was sleeping at night for the first time in 20 years! What a blessing. My GI symptoms were immediately managed as well. He is so easy to talk to and I can't even begin to explain how much he has helped me. The hot flashes are rare, the night sweats are almost non existent. I have been a patient for past seven years. Dr. Varano Barb Ashley and Jessica are a super team. Collectively they take ensure my treatment plan is being followed and Dr Varano will adjust when necessary. Since starting with this practice my life has changed for the better. I would recommend that anyone who is age 40 or older female or male would benefit from a consultation and any testing they may recommend. Since starting here I have experienced a decrease in pain with my RA as well as better quality of sleep and decrease in my sugar levels. Aging can be a very positive experience when you are given the right medical advice and are provided with the appropriate tools. Dr. Varano is a 10 out of 10 and I highly recommend him to anyone.

She is a great listener, and definitely knows how to implant the testosterone pellet with no discomfort during, and virtually undetectable aftereffects (except the bandage).
