Semaglutide Injections for Weight Loss

Semaglutide works on appetite and blood sugar, so hunger stops fighting you. What it does not do is find the reason your metabolism stalled — that is what the assessment is for.

Who this program is for

Semaglutide suits patients whose weight has not moved on diet and training alone, and whose appetite and cravings are a real part of the problem. It is a tool inside a plan, not the plan.

Weight that will not shift despite consistent effort
Constant hunger, cravings, or eating past fullness
Blood sugar or insulin markers trending the wrong way
Weight gain that started alongside a hormonal change
Previous diets that worked briefly and then reversed
A history of losing weight and losing strength with it

It is not right for everyone, and the assessment is where that gets decided rather than assumed.

What the program includes

Root-cause assessment first

Thyroid, sex hormones, cortisol and appetite hormones, fasting insulin, glucose, A1c and lipids, inflammatory markers and nutrient levels — because weight-loss resistance usually has a driver underneath it.

Weekly semaglutide, medically supervised

Prescribed and titrated by the clinical team, from pharmacies we vet, with dose changes based on your response rather than a fixed ladder.

Protecting lean muscle

Losing weight and losing strength are not the same outcome. Body composition and protein intake are tracked so the loss comes off the right place.

The drivers underneath

Where testing points to hormonal imbalance, insulin resistance or nutrient deficiency, those are treated alongside — not left for after.

How this program runs

Foundational Assessment — $599

A full biological picture before anything is prescribed: symptoms, history, goals and comprehensive bloodwork, reviewed by Dr. Varano.

Membership — $279 / month

Ongoing clinical oversight, direct clinician messaging between visits, and protocol adjustments based on how you actually respond.

Your protocol

Built to your labs and your goals, then re-checked and adjusted as your numbers move. Nothing here is a fixed script.

Current program pricing is listed on the specialty treatment plans page.

What we track

Weight is the least interesting number we follow. Body composition, fasting insulin, glucose, A1c and lipids are re-checked through the program, alongside how you are actually eating and recovering, so the plan can change when the data does.

Questions patients ask us

How does semaglutide help with weight loss?

It mimics the hormone GLP-1, which helps regulate appetite, satiety, and blood sugar. This can reduce cravings and hunger so the body relies less on willpower to lose weight.

Is Semaglutide approved by the FDA?

Yes, the FDA approved Semaglutide in June 2021 under the brand name Wegovy. It is cleared for chronic weight management in adults who are obese or overweight and have at least one weight-related condition, such as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes or high cholesterol.

Does Semaglutide work for everyone?

Semaglutide is highly effective for many, but not all, individuals. Successful users can achieve up to a 15% reduction in body weight. In clinical trials, half of the participants lost 15% of their weight, and nearly one-third lost 20%.

How quickly might I see results with Semaglutide?

Results vary, but many people notice changes within the first eight weeks, with more significant results by around week 12. Clinical studies cited an average body weight reduction of 5 to 10 percent with a weekly dose.

Why can nutrient deficiencies affect weight loss?

Your brain has receptors that detect shortages of nutrients like Vitamin D, iron, and B vitamins, and deficiencies can activate hunger signals that prompt overeating. Testing can pinpoint deficiencies so they can be addressed with a tailored nutrition plan.

How is this different from a generic weight-loss clinic?

The approach aims to identify and treat root causes rather than symptoms, offering structured, ongoing care instead of rushed appointments or one-size-fits-all diets.
