Specialty Testing Guide › TruAge Biological Age Testing
YoungerMeMD does not publish a price for TruAge, so ask our team for current pricing before you decide. What is published is the structure around it: specialty tests are optional add-ons to a $599 assessment, and testing is self-pay. TruAge is not one of the add-ons listed on the payment page, so it is arranged with our team.
That means the full cost of TruAge through our clinic is the test price our team quotes you, plus the assessment, plus membership if you continue care with us. This page lays out each part so there are no surprises.
Key takeaways
- No TruAge price is listed online; our team gives you the current figure on request.
- The test is added to either the $599 Peptide Assessment or the $724 Hormone Assessment.
- Interpretation and planning come with the $279 monthly membership, while test kits are billed on their own.
- Payment is self-pay, so check with your own insurer or HSA administrator about receipts.

How TruAge is added to your assessment
Specialty tests are not sold on their own. On our payment page, you choose an assessment first, then select specialty tests as add-ons. TruAge is not on that list yet, so ask our team to add it to your order. The page notes that most patients start without these, and that is a reasonable default: the assessment and baseline labs often answer the first questions.
The assessment is a full review of your symptoms, history and baseline labs. From there, the clinician recommends only the tests that fit your goals, no more, no less.
What membership covers
Interpretation and planning are included in membership, and test kits are billed separately. Members have 3 to 4 in-person or virtual visits per year plus support between visits. Your TruAge result is reviewed alongside your other labs and turned into a medical, nutritional and lifestyle plan. Details are on our membership page.
What you get for the test price
TruAge is an epigenetic test from TruDiagnostic that uses a blood sample; our team explains how your sample is collected when the test is ordered. The lab's published material describes three core clocks: an overall biological age (OMICmAge), ages for 11 organ systems (SYMPHONYAge) and a pace-of-aging score (DunedinPACE).1 Reports also include estimated markers such as telomere length and immune cell mix.
The price buys the measurement. What makes it useful is the review: a clinician reading it next to your history and standard labs, and deciding whether anything should change. Our guide on how to read a TruAge report shows what each section means.
Insurance and HSA
Testing is self-pay through the clinic; ask our team about receipts for your own insurer or HSA. TruDiagnostic, the lab that makes TruAge, describes it as not a diagnostic test and as an adjunct to clinical evaluation, so plan your budget as an out-of-pocket cost.1
Is it worth the money for you?
Value depends on whether the result could change what you do. The biggest drivers of long-term risk are measured cheaply and routinely: the American Heart Association's Life's Essential 8 covers diet, physical activity, nicotine exposure, sleep, body mass index, blood lipids, blood glucose and blood pressure.2 If those are not known or not managed, start there.
It also helps to know what changes look like. In the two-year CALERIE trial, calorie restriction slowed DunedinPACE, but treatment effect sizes were small.3 If you plan to retest, budget for tests spaced many months apart rather than quarterly; our guide on how often to retest biological age explains why.
Who should spend the money elsewhere first
- Anyone with new or worsening symptoms, who needs a standard medical workup.
- Anyone overdue for routine screening such as blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes or cancer screening.
- Anyone hoping for a diagnosis, since TruAge does not give one.
- Anyone outside Pennsylvania who wants telehealth, since our virtual visits are limited to patients located in the state.

Frequently asked questions
Why is the TruAge price not listed?
The clinic has not published one. Ask our team for current pricing, including any retest cost, before you book.
Can I order TruAge without the assessment?
Specialty tests are ordered with an assessment, so the assessment comes first. Ask our team how to add TruAge to yours.
Is the result reviewed with me?
Interpretation and planning are part of membership, and the test kit itself is billed separately. If you are not planning to become a member, ask our team how results are reviewed.
Will insurance pay for TruAge?
Testing is self-pay through the clinic; ask our team about receipts for your own insurer or HSA.
